Data Handling: Choice of Graphs by PeiLingxD

This graph is not appropriate because line graphs are used for comparison. In this case, there shouldn't be any comparison made because the weathers are not related to each other and not continuous.

The remaining 3 graphs depicts the data correctly without any misleading points like the above.

  1. You are correct to say that line graph is not appropriate.
However, all graphs will allow us to do some kind of comparison, and the comparison based on the context.

For line graph, it allows us to observe trends (increase or decrease) over time.

You are also right to say that weathers are not related to each other and therefore not continuous (this is a good observation). However, we can still do comparison - simple one, like there are more cloudy days than sunny days.
